What is Sound Alerts?

Sound Alerts, is a Twitch Extension that allows you to have sound or video alerts on your stream, custom channel point rewards, overlays, and widgets for your stream—all of which are powered by a single browser source in your streaming software and accessible on the Sound Alerts website. It helps you make your streams more engaging.

Stream and Sound alerts are small features you can have on your stream. They allow you to display images, gifs, sounds, and more depending on an event. For example, if you have a new follower, you can display a gif with a sound. The same goes for raids, subs, donations, etc.

What Features Do Sound Alerts Have?

Sound Alerts has many features available for streamers to use. These include sound alerts, gifs, animations, scene editors, tipping, text-to-speech, and channel point redemptions.

The scene editor gives you custom overlays and widgets for your stream, and you can also use the animations from there. You can also use the channel points feature to offer interactive rewards to your loyal viewers.

However, the main features people use Sound Alerts for are the sounds and the gifs.

How do you use Sound Alerts?

Using Sound Alerts is easy. All you have to do is set up the Sound Alerts extension in your Twitch extensions and activate it as an overlay, panel, or component.

Once you have all your sounds or gifs on the dashboard and set up, you can test them. All you need to do is have the browser source in your streaming software and test the alerts by going to your My Alerts page and clicking test in browser source.

Once you have everything set up, you can use it live!

When you’re live on stream, your viewers can open the overlay extension or scroll down on your profile to see the available alerts they can play on stream. Once they have found the one they want, they just pay the bits, and it will play on stream and be announced in chat.

How to Monetise Sound Alerts?

Monetizing Sound Alerts couldn’t be easier. Finding the alerts you wish to add to your library will give you an option on how many bits you would like that particular alert to cost.

This depends on you, your community, and how much you want the alerts to be played. If it’s a jumpscare and you don’t want it to be abused to the point you become immune to it, make it a higher price. Make it lower if it’s a fun honk sound that will always get a giggle.

It may also be a nice touch to add one or two freebies for people who want to interact with the stream in that way but cannot afford it.

The option to redeem Sound Alerts via bits and channel points is only available for partners and affiliates, as Twitch Bits and channel points are only available to those. A tipping feature in Sound Alerts will soon be available, allowing viewers to donate to you to play alerts on stream by using Sound Coins.

Please note: Affiliates and Partners receive 80% of 1 U.S. cent per Bit.
